What to do if Parker EX is getting too hot?
    • J
      Janice BondJul 28, 2025
If your Parker Engine is becoming unusually hot, it could be overloaded or the rotation speed might be too low. Check the motor's current and operating cycle. Also, verify if the mounting surface provides enough heat dissipation and isn't itself a heat source. High friction in the machine could also be a factor. Test the motor current both with and without a load. Ensure the motor doesn't have thermal insulation and check for brake friction when the brake power is on.

Why Parker Engine is not starting?
    • T
      Timothy AllenAug 1, 2025
If you're having difficulty starting your Parker Engine or keeping it running, several factors could be at play. Start by checking the fuses and the voltage at the terminals, as there might be an overload or jammed bearings. Inspect the load current. Ensure the power supply to the brake is at +24 V ± 10 % and that its polarity is correct. Check any thermal protection, its connection, and its setting in the drive. Finally, examine the servomotor insulation, performing hot and cold measurements if necessary. The minimum insulation resistance should be 50 MΩ under a max. 50V DC between the phase and casing, thermal protection and casing, brake coil and casing, and resolver coils and casing.

How to fix vibrations in Parker EX Engine?
    • L
      Lindsey HooperAug 5, 2025
To address vibrations in your Parker Engine, begin by inspecting the encoder and tachometer connections, as well as the earth connections and the earthing of the earth wire. Check the servo drive speed loop setting, tachometer screening, and filtering. Ensure the stability of the secondary voltages. Lastly, verify the rigidity of the frame and motor support.
  • D
    Derrick WrightAug 10, 2025
Why is my Parker Engine so noisy?
    • A
      Amy IbarraAug 10, 2025
There could be several reasons why your Parker Engine is excessively noisy. It might be due to unsatisfactory mechanical balancing, friction from the brake (possibly mechanical jamming), a defective coupling, loosening of parts, or poor adjustment of the servo drive or position loop. Check the rotation in an open loop to diagnose the issue.

What to do if Parker Engine motor is racing?
    • J
      Joshua RobinsonAug 14, 2025
If the Parker Engine motor is racing, first check the speed setpoint of the servo drive. Ensure that you are in speed regulation and not in torque regulation. Verify the encoder setting, and check the servomotor phase order: U, V, W.

How to stop Parker EX motor speed from drifting?
    • A
      Amanda Smith MDAug 18, 2025
To correct motor speed drifting in your Parker Engine, reset the offset of the servoamplifier after giving a zero instruction to the speed setpoint input.

    Kathryn SmithAug 23, 2025
What to do if Parker EX Engine motor doesn't turn by hand?
    • V
      Victoria TaylorAug 23, 2025
If the Parker Engine motor doesn't turn by hand when not connected to the drive, check for any mechanical blockages or if the motor terminals are short-circuited. Also, verify the power supply to the brake.
