Place Motor in a Vise
Scribe Alignment Mark
WARNING
Remove Bolts
Inspect Bolts
Remove End Cover
Placethemotorinasoft
jawedvise,withcouplingshaft
pointeddownandthevisejaws
clampingrmlyonthesidesof
thehousing.(Figure1)
Usingapaintpen,placean
alignmentmarkdownand
acrossthemotorcomponents
fromendcovertohousingto
facilitatereassemblyorientation
whererequired.
Ifthemotorisnotrmlyheldin
theviseitcouldbedislodged
duringtheserviceprocedures,
causinginjury.(Figure2)
Usingatorquewrench,remove
four7/8”boltsthatholdtheend
coverontomotor.

Inspecteachboltfordamaged
orstretchedthreads.
(Figure4)
Removeendcoverfrommotor
andthoroughlywashtheend
coverinpropersolventand
blowdry.Inspectendcoverfor
anydamage.(Figure5)
