EN – Original instructions
The User’s manual is an integral part of the product. It is the User’s responsibility to keep this documentation available
at any time (including transportation, reselling, etc.), to allow for its consultation during the entire equipment lifespan.
The present manual is addressed to skilled and expert technicians.
The product shall be employed only if it has been properly installed and it is free from damages.
ATEX rated products shall only be handled by skilled personnel according to IEC 60079-17.
Specic instructions in the User’s manual impacting or covering ATEX rated products are marked with the
symbol
for easy identication.
RESIDUAL RISKS
High velocity or high-pressure uid discharge.
Surfaces that may become very hot or very cold.
Contact with conveyed uids that may be hot, cold, toxic or otherwise injurious.
Sparking or explosion caused by static electricity build-up or other sources of electricity.
Sparking or explosion from ammable liquids.
In case of doubts or for any further information needed, always consult the complete User’s manual or contact your most
convenient Parker Hannin representative.
1. FOREWORD
The present instruction manual refers to the CEV-S Series electric expansion valves and to their related CEC Series
motor stators. This manual covers all the versions indistinctly.
2. PRODUCT INFORMATION
Consult the product catalogue “RE1.C.9T1.CEV-S.UK” for complete information about the product.
2.1. PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
Each valve body and stator is indelibly marked, to provide useful information for model identication and servicing.
Refer to these data when contacting our Customer Service.

3. USE
3.1. PROPER USE
The purpose of the CEV-S Series valve is to be permanently installed in a vapour compression refrigeration appliance,
with or without reverse cycle features, as the expansion (lamination) element to reduce the condensing pressure down
to the value of the evaporating pressure. The CEV-S valve body must be securely coupled to one of the available CEC
Series stator, connected to a properly designed control system.
