Reassembly
Step

Install brake drum.
Install brake drum nut.
Slide brake drum onto brake assembly,
piloting the Woodruff Key into the matching
slot.
Be careful not to scrape the shaft or
dislodge the Woodruff Key while
installing the brake drum.
2. Torque brake assembly bolts to
25-28 ft-lbs.
1. Place nut onto end of coupling shaft and
hand tighten.
2. Torque to 200-300 ft-lbs, minimum, plus
more to align slot on castellated nuts.
Install new cotter pin (if using a
castellated nut).
1. Using needle nose pliers, push cotter
pin through the hole in the coupling
shaft.
2. Bend ends of cotter pin to lock nut in
place
HTG Assembly Complete
