Why does the fan not run and the tool indicator light blink red or stay solid red on my Paslode CF-325?
    • D
      Danny ThomasJul 26, 2025
If the fan doesn't run and the tool indicator light is blinking or solid red on your Paslode Nail Gun, it could mean the battery is not charged, so charge the battery. Another possibility is that the battery terminals are oily, dirty, or corroded; clean them with a cloth or pencil eraser.

If the charger for your Paslode Nail Gun gets hot, makes excessively loud noise, or smokes during the charging cycle, or if the charger cord or wall plug gets hot, discontinue use immediately and unplug it from the power source. Replace the charger and tag or dispose of the old charger to prevent accidental reuse or connection to a power source.

What to do if my Paslode Nail Gun will not cycle but the fan runs and the indicator light is solid green?
    • A
      Andrea SmithAug 15, 2025
If your Paslode Nail Gun won't cycle but the fan runs and the indicator light is solid green, the fuel cartridge may be empty, so replace it. Also, the spark wire might be out of the spark plug; remove the cap, check the spark lead, insert it into the spark plug, and replace the cover. A dirty spark plug can also cause this issue, so clean the tool cylinder head and spark plug. If no spark is generated, return the tool to an authorized Paslode dealer for service.

What to do if the work-contacting element on my Paslode Nail Gun does not depress fully and the tool does not operate?
    • A
      Adam ShawAug 21, 2025
If the work-contacting element on your Paslode Nail Gun doesn't depress fully and the tool doesn't operate, it could be due to several reasons: * There are four or fewer nails in the tool, so load a strip of nails. * The lockout bracket is stuck in the lockout position. Check the lockout, and if you cannot free it, return the tool to an authorized Paslode dealer for service. * The work-contacting element is bent, worn, or at the deepest setting, or the follower is not behind the fasteners. Remove and inspect the lower probe, then clean, adjust, or replace it as needed. Also, position the follower behind the fasteners.
