Mower Preparations
Note: Read and review each step of this manual thoroughly. Review the instructions on Pg.15 carefully and be
sure to understand the steps to properly adjust and run the PTO Slip Clutch to help prevent any damage.
Before the installation of your unit, if applicable, prepare your tractor by removing the PTO Shroud from the rear of
the tractor. Refer to Figure A. This will allow for the installation of the PTO Slip Clutch.

Next, check your tractor’s check chain position. If the check chains are positioned between the tractor’s lower lift
arm, as depicted in Figure B, you’ll need to reposition the (2) check chains.
Reposition the (2) check chains by flipping them and moving them to the bottom of the tractor’s lower lift arms
attachment points. Refer to Figure B. This will provide room for the installation and adjustments of the PTO Slip
Clutch from page 15.
