What to do if my Pentair Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered?
    • Q
      qwilliamsAug 10, 2025
If the Pentair Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered, first check the prime to make sure that the pump and all the suction piping, including the piping in the well, are full of water; if not, fill them up. In cold weather, check to ensure that the pipes and pump aren't frozen. If they are, thaw them, being careful of split pipes and fittings. Heat the pump pit or pump house and bury all piping below the frost line.

What to do if Pentair AERMOTOR HNAS does not deliver water to full capacity?
    • R
      Robert MolinaAug 16, 2025
If the Pentair Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity, consult your well professional because the well water level might be lower than estimated, making a different nozzle/venturi combination necessary; steel piping (if used) might be corroded or limed, restricting capacity and increasing friction; or the piping might be too small for the installation.

What to do if my Pentair Water Pump motor will not run?

      Melanie LevineAug 20, 2025
If the Pentair Water Pump motor will not run, check that the disconnect switch is ON and that the circuit breaker has not tripped or the fuse has not blown. Disconnect the power and make sure that wires connecting the motor to the power supply and pressure switch are tight and correctly connected. If these steps do not solve the problem, call your well professional.

Why does my Pentair Water Pump cycle too frequently?
    • K
      Karen WilliamsAug 26, 2025
The Pentair Water Pump might be cycling too frequently because a faucet has been left open or if the system has a standard tank, it might be waterlogged. If waterlogged, drain it to the level of the air volume control. Also, ensure the AVC isn’t defective and that there are no leaks at any connections. If the system has a precharged tank, disconnect power, open all system faucets and bleed all pressure off of the tank. Use a tire gauge to check the air pressure in the tank, which should be lower than the cut-in setting of the pressure switch by 2 PSI. Check the air valve for leaks with a soap solution and replace the core if needed.

What to do if my Pentair AERMOTOR HNAS Water Pump motor runs hot and overload trips?
    • R
      Robert MathisAug 30, 2025
If your Pentair Water Pump motor runs hot and the overload trips, check the electrical instructions to verify that the motor is correctly wired. Contact the power company to ensure the voltage at the pump is within + 10% of the motor’s rated nameplate voltage. Disconnect the power and ensure that the wires connecting the motor to the power supply are sized correctly. If the pump is cycling too frequently, refer to section E.
