Why is the timer on my Pentair Control Unit stalled in the regeneration cycle?
- HhigginsjasonSep 10, 2025
If the timer on your Pentair Control Unit is stalled in the regeneration cycle, several issues could be the cause. The motor might be dead or running backward, a gear could be broken, the switch might be defective, or the circuit board could be defective, in all of these cases replace the timer. There might be no electric power at the outlet, so repair the outlet or use a working outlet. There might be an air leak in the brine connections, so check all junction points and make appropriate corrections. The camshaft might be binding, so remove any foreign object obstruction from the valve discs or camshaft. Finally, the water pressure might be greater than 125 psi during regeneration, so install a pressure regulator.
