8.2 Compensation
Because of systematic deviations between different measuring instruments, a constant CO
2
deviation may arise in the ICC-2000 compared to another reference. This can be compensated
by adjusting parameter “A” in the formula for calculating the CO
2
content.
A new value for “A” is calculated as follows:
value ICC -CO
value comparison-CO
A"" old = A""new
2
2
Example:
CO
2
comparison value = 5.20 g/l
ICC-2000 CO
2
value = 5.00 g/l
Old ”A” value = 1.000
new “A” value =
20.5
x 1.000 = 1.040
The new value for “A” can be entered as following using the CO
2
formula menu (see “software
summary” Appendix VII)
Method:
1. Press the ”START” key until ”CONFIGURATION” appears on the display,
2. Press “START” to get to the configuration menu,
3. Go to “CO2 formula” using the arrow keys,
4. Press the ”START” key - ”A=x.xxx” will appear on the display,
5. Press the ”START” key to enter a new compensation factor,
6. Using the arrow keys and the “START” key to confirm allows you to return to “MAIN
MENU”.
