10. TROUBLE SHOOTING
10.1 Trouble shooting ICC-2000
Trouble Reason Solution
Pressure drop Upper needle leakage. Replace O-ring (see paragraph
9.1).
Piercing leak. Check rubber cone.
PET Bottle is pressed together
Use PET-bottle holder 005.218.
CO

Calculator does not react or
start and stops within a few
seconds
Battery voltage is less than
7 Volts.
Connect the charger as
described in paragraph 9.2.
Values measured remain unstable Moisture in connector joints
has negatively affects
measurement signals.
Loosen, dry and clean pressure
transducer connection cable, or
clean the temperature sensor
connection.
Pressure transducer is
defective.
Check operation using
calibration procedure and
stability under atmospheric
pressure. Measured value may
not vary by more than 2 digits.
Temperature sensor is
defective.
Measure the resistance between
the pins of the PT100’s
connector.
Between pin 1 and 2: 110
pin 1 and 3: 110
pin 1 and 4: 0
pin 2 and 3: 0
pin 2 and 4: 110
pin 3 and 4: 110
Display indicates “LLL” OR “HHH” The calculated CO
2
value is
out of range. The cause is
usually for out-of-range p or T
values measured.
See table 1, Appendix II
10.2 Trouble shooting IAM
Trouble Reason Solution
IAM tap leaks Tap has insufficient sealing. Tighten the red nut on the tap.
Air volume measured is
improbably high
The lye is saturated (white)
and is no longer absorbing
CO
2.
Renew the lye.
