Thank you for purchasing this Universal Filter & Fitting Kit from SHURFLO. Here
you should fi nd everything you need to replace your current RV in-line fi lter, no mat-
ter which fi tting and plumbing arrangement you have.
Please take a few minutes to read this entire manual before attempting installation.

COMPONENT LIST
• Filter
• 1/4” Push-In Fittings
• 1/4” Colder-Style Fittings
• 1/2” NPT-Male Fittings
• Tefl on Tape
LOCATION
This fi lter may be installed in any
convenient location. Be sure to keep the
fi lter away from any heat source.
INSTALLATION
1. Shut off water.
2. Disconnect existing fi lter or cut wa-
terline where fi lter is to be installed.
3. If necessary, put fi ttings in ends of
fi lter using Tefl on tape. Tighten fi tting
until snug.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN FITTINGS.
4. Be sure fl ow direction is correct.
Connect inlet water line to fi lter.
Use 2 wrenches so fi tting does not
move.
5. Purge fi lter by turning on water and
allowing 5 gallons of water to fl ow into a
bucket until clear. Turn off water.
6. Connect outlet water line to fi tting
as above. Turn on water carefully and
check for leaks.
7. Check fi lter after several hours for
leaks not visible during initial installa-
tion.
All fi lters should be replaced seasonally
(6-12 months) or when taste and odor
problems return.
DO NOT ALLOW FILTER TO FREEZE
WITH WATER IN IT.
