  If your Pentair Control Unit experiences no brine draw, several factors could be responsible. Begin by verifying that the water pressure at the inlet is adequate. Close the outlet of the valve and confirm that the pressure gauge displays a pressure of at least 2 bars. If the pressure is insufficient, address the low-pressure issue. If the pressure is higher than 2 bar, check the mechanical filter which is installed before the injector is plugged by dirt. Remove it and clean. Additionally, inspect the screen on the manifold for any obstructions and clean it thoroughly if necessary. A plugged injector can also prevent brine draw; remove the injector, carefully clean the holes, and then remount it. If mixing is not desired and high pressure drop is causing the opening of the automatic bypass, replace the automatic bypass with a manual bypass model. For an external distributor valve, disconnect the drain plastic tube and check for leakage from the drain port; if there is leakage, one or more pilots must be replaced.
