You can change the auto focus area or set the camera to focus on a
moving subject.
AF Mode
1 Press the 3 button in A mode.
The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears.

Use the four-way controller (

) to select [AF Mode].
3 Press the four-way controller (5).
A pull-down menu appears.
4 Use the four-way controller (23)
to change the setting.
5 Press the 4 button.
The AF Mode setting is saved.
6 Press the 3 button.
The camera returns to capture status with the current setting.
Selecting the Auto Focus Mode (AF Mode)

Multiple
The camera focuses on the standard auto
focus area.
K
Spot
The camera focuses on the smaller auto focus
area.
Continuous
The camera focuses on a moving subject
using the smaller auto focus area.
•In d mode, [Continuous] cannot be selected.
•In s mode, AF Mode is fixed to [Multiple].
