Why is my Perfect Aire PAHP18002 not cooling the room?
    • A
      anthony68Aug 13, 2025
Several factors can cause this. Make sure the unit's size is appropriate for the room, and all doors, windows, and openings are closed. Ensure nothing obstructs the front grille. Allow sufficient cooling time, especially in high outside temperatures. Check that the filter is clean, louvers are open, and the unit is in Cool Mode with an adequate temperature setting. If near a heat source, relocate the unit. If the air is cool to the touch, double-check the above points. For the 'Follow Me' remote feature, move the remote away from the unit. If the temperature sensor behind the air filter is touching the cold coil, carefully straighten the tube away from the coil. As a last resort, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes and follow the reset instructions on the plug.

First, reset the circuit breaker and ensure the circuit isn't overloaded with other appliances. Check the plug connection and verify the on/off switch (if applicable) is in the 'on' position. Try plugging the unit into a different outlet. If these steps don't work, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes and follow the reset instructions on the plug.

What to do if my Perfect Aire Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is too warm and ice is forming?
    • A
      Anthony WardAug 25, 2025
This can occur if the outdoor temperature is below 64ºF (18ºC) or if the thermostat is set too cold for night-time cooling. To defrost the coil, set the unit to Fan Only mode. Also, a dirty air filter can cause ice to form, so clean the filter. Afterward, adjust the temperature to a higher setting.

Why does my Perfect Aire Air Conditioner cycle on and off too frequently?
    • S
      sheltondawnAug 31, 2025
This issue might arise if the unit's size isn't appropriate for the room. Also, ensure the temperature sensor isn't too close to the coils by removing the grille. Verify that nothing is blocking the grille or side vents, and ensure there's no dirt or debris inside the unit or on the filter.

    • K
      Karla SkinnerSep 4, 2025
Ensure the circuit has enough available amps for the air conditioner. Large units operating on 230v require a dedicated 20 or 30 amp circuit.
