Ensure all doors, windows, and curtains are closed, and that nothing is blocking the front grille. Allow sufficient time for the room to cool, especially in high outside temperatures. Check that the filter is clean, the louvers are fully open, and the unit is set to COOL mode with an adequate temperature setting. Relocate the unit if it's near a heat source. If the air from the unit feels cool, double-check the above points. Try the 'Follow Me' feature for better cooling, ensuring the remote is within 20 feet and a 180° radius of the unit. Finally, unplug the unit for at least 5 minutes, following the reset instructions on the plug.

  If your Perfect Aire Air Conditioner is cooling, but the room is still too warm and ice is forming on the cooling coil, try the following: If the outdoor temperature is below 64ºF (18ºC), set the unit to FAN only mode to defrost the coil. If the air filter is dirty, clean it by referring to the Care and Cleaning section and then set to FAN only mode to defrost. If the thermostat is set too cold for nighttime cooling, defrost the coil using the FAN only mode, and then increase the temperature setting.
