Why Performance Tool W1628 Jacks will not lift to full height?
    • J
      Joseph BarkerJul 29, 2025
If your Performance Tool Jack isn't lifting to its full height, there are a few potential causes: * The power unit might be low on fluid. To resolve this, with the jack on a level surface and in the down position, remove the filler plug and add clean hydraulic jack fluid until it reaches the filler level. * The power unit could be air-bound. To fix this, open the release valve a minimum of two full turns and pump the handle a minimum of 20 full strokes to purge the air from the system. * The valve may not be closing completely. To address this, follow these steps: a) Close the release valve. b) With the jack in the fully lowered position, manually raise the lifting arm as high as possible. c) Open the release valve and allow the jack to descend to the lowered position.
