Why does the pump on my Performance Tool jack feel "spongy" under load?
    • B
      Brett HerreraJul 29, 2025
If your Performance Tool jack's pump feels spongy when under a load, it might be due to air trapped in the power unit. To resolve this, open the release valve at least two full turns, and then pump the handle at least 20 full strokes. This should purge the air from the system.

    • T
      Timothy ForbesAug 9, 2025
If your Performance Tool jack isn't lifting to its full height, the power unit might be low on fluid. To fix this, make sure the jack is on a level surface and in the down position. Then, remove the filler plug and add clean hydraulic jack fluid until it reaches the level of the filler.
