  Your PerformancePro Water Pump might not be priming due to several reasons. First, the strainer pot might be empty; fill it with water and ensure the lid is closed tightly, and all plumbing valves are open. A low water level in the strainer pot could also be the cause; check the basket to ensure it's correctly seated, inspect the lid for cracks and the O-ring for damage, and examine the intake and discharge union fittings for leaks, tightening or replacing parts as necessary to ensure airtight connections. Other potential issues include a tripped circuit breaker (reset it), capacitor failure (testing may be required), or seized bearings (rotate the motor shaft by hand; if it doesn't spin freely, replace the bearings).
