7. Remove the outer ange and the blade.
Wipe the anges and spindle to remove
any dust and debris.
INSTALLING THE BLADE (FIG. 32)
Do not use thin-kerf
blades. Thin-kerf blades can deect and
contact the guard, which can cause injury
to the operator.
1. Unplug the saw.
2. Ensure that the inner ange is properly
installed.
3. Match the arrow on the blade with the
arrow on the upper blade guard. Make
sure the teeth of the blade are pointing
downward. Install the selected blade by
sliding the blade into the upper blade
guard and then placing the blade in
position.
4. Install the outer ange.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the at side of the
ange is placed against the blade.
REMOVING THE BLADE
(FIG. 30-31)
To reduce the risk
of injury, always unplug the tool before
removing or installing a blade.
1. Unplug the saw.
2. Raise the saw head, lift and hold the
blade guard to expose the arbor guard screw.
3. Loosen the screw by a screwdriver
(available separately) to a point where
the arbor guard can be lifted.(Fig. 30)
4. Lift up and hold the lower blade guard,
and rotate the arbor guard to
expose the arbor screw.(Fig. 31)
5. Press and hold the spindle-lock button,
and rotate the blade at the same time
until it locks into position.
6. Use the blade wrench (included) to turn
the arbor screw clockwise and remove
it.
