Maintenance
WARNING: Always turn off the router table and unplug the power cord from the outlet
before maintaining the router table or router.
General
Keep your router clean and in good repair for maximum performance and machine longevity.
Before each use inspect the router table, router, switches, and cords for damage. Check for
damaged, missing, or worn parts. Check for loose screws, misalignment, moving parts that are
jammed or any other conditions that may affect the operation.
If abnormal vibration or noise occurs, turn off the tool immediately and have the problem corrected
before further use. Do not use the router until it is properly repaired or replaced.
Note: See the Plunge Router Instruction Manual for router maintenance information and
instructions.
WARNING: When servicing the router table, use identical replacement parts. Use of any
other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage.
Cleaning
Use only mild soap and a clean damp cloth to clean the router table and router. Certain cleaning
agents and solvents are harmful to plastic and other insulated parts.
Do not use solvents to clean plastic parts. Many types of plastics may be damaged by their use.
WARNING: To avoid fire or toxic reaction, do not use gasoline, naphtha, and acetone,
lacquer thinner or similar highly volatile solvents to clean the router table or router.
