is
a sewing hook
of
Pfaff's
own design which
is
rated as jam-proof. Mounted on a horizontal shaft, this
new Pfaff hook (Fig.
15)
is
set transverse
to
the direction
of
feed
and
moves
counter-clockwise, making
two
revolutions
for
each stitch.
In
other words, a
stitch
is
formed only
at
every
other
revolution
of
the sewing hook, which
is
a
favorable
ratio
for
the take-up lever motion.
