Basting
is
a
useful
method
of
transferring
seam

onto

fabric.
First
mark
all
contours
with
tailoring
chalk
on
the

been
basted,
pull
the
two
fabric
plies
apart
to
find
the
joining
threads
and
cut
these
through
carefully,
to
avoid
damage
to
the
material.
