Maintenance and trouble-shooting
Cleaning:
Turn off the main switch
It is very important to clean your sewing
machine, because it will reward you with
a longer service life. The more often you
use the machine, the more care it needs.
Do not dismantle the machine other than
as explained in this section.
Clean the outside of the machine with a
soft cloth and mild soap.
Removal
• Remove the presser foot and needle.
• Remove the screw (A) on the needle
plate with the screwdriver. Remove the
needle plate and take out the bobbin
holder.
• Lift up the bobbin holder (B) and
remove it.
• Clean the bobbin holder with the
brush. Wipe the bobbin holder with a soft,
dry cloth.
• Clean the feed dog and hook race with
the brush. Wipe the hook race with a soft,
dry cloth.
Replacing
• Insert the bobbin holder into the hook
race.
Note: Make sure the knob (C) of the bobbin
holder À ts next to the stopper (D) in the race.
• Attach the needle plate, inserting the
two guide pins into the holes (E) in the
needle plate. Tighten the screw (A) À rmly
with the screwdriver.
