Philips AZ9040 - Radio Reception

INSTALLATION
Adjust the sound with the controls VOLUME GQ), TONE (Y)
and DYNAMIC BASS BOOST ©).
If a howling sound occurs, keep the microphone away
from the loudspeakers or reduce the volume. Disconnect
the microphone when notin use.
Loudspeaker terminals SPEAKERS
For connecting the supplied loudspeakers (or others
having an impedance of 4 Ohms). Connect the coloured
(or marked) wire to the red terminal as shown (9.
To attach/detach the loudspeakers, please see diagrams
below as indicated.

- For FM, pulloutthe telescopic aerial. To improve the
FM-reception, incline and tum the aerial. Reduce its
length if the FM signal is too strong (very close to a
transmitter).
- For AM/MW and LW (not on all versions), the set is
provided with a built-in aerial, so the telescopic aerial
is not needed. Direct the aerial by tuming the whole
set.
e Always switch off the set after use with the POWER
button ©.
