The word PAUSE then appears. To continue playback,

e Insert the CD, with printed side facing up.

e Close the door. The CD-player starts and scans the
table of contents of the CD. After that, the total playing
time and the number of tracks appear on the display and
— by pressing OPEN-CLOSE (3
— when the end of the CD is reached;
— if you move the MODE selector ©
— if the batteries are exhaused or if the power supply is
interrupted in another way.
e To take out the CD, open the CD door by pressing
OPEN-CLOSE (9. Open the CD door only if the CD
e Playback will start by pressing PLAY-PAUSE. player is in the STOP mode.
e Always switch off the set after use with the POWER
PLAY*PAUSE button @)
Remarks
— Ifthebattery voltageis not sufficient any more for playing
a CD, the CD-player will not start.
- If no of SE appears after inserting a CD, it indicates
thatthe player cannotread the CD. Possible causes are:
As soon as playback starts, the display shows the current
track and its elapsed playing time. ATA
- you inserted the CD the wrong way: the label should be
facing up;
— the CD is badly scratched or dirty, see “Maintenance”;
