For
cars
supplied
with
standard
ISO
connectors,
you
can
directly
mount
the
car
radio
(see
‘MOUNTING’).
For
cars
with
different
connecting
standards,
your
dealer
can
provide
specific
adaptor
cables
for
a
problem
free
installation
(see
table
on
separate
installation
card).
If
an
adaptor
cable
is
not
in
the
table,
you
can
prepare
the
connection
yourself
(see
‘PREPARATION’).
There
is
a
high
voltage
inside
the
set!
Do
not
open
it
to
prevent
an
electric
shock.
PREPARATION
The
set
must
be
connected
to
a
12
V
car
battery
with
negative
terminal
to
earth
(car
chassis).
*
To
prevent
short-circuiting,
disconnect
the
negative
car
battery
terminal
until
the
set
has
been
mounted
and
connected
(fig.
1).
See
separate
installation
card.
POWER
SUPPLY
CONNECTIONS
*
Brown
lead
A8:
Connect
to
an
earthing
point
on
the
car
body.
¢
Red
lead
A7:
Connect
to
a
switched
12
V
supply
of
the
car
ignition.
°
Yellow/red
lead
A4:
Connect
to
a
permanent
12
V
supply.
This
supply
is
needed
for
the
set’s
memory
and
warning
light.
OPTIONAL
CONNECTIONS
Electronic/motor
aerial:
*
Connect
the
supply
for
an
electronic
aerial
or
the
control
lead
for
the
relay
of
an
automatic
motor
aerial
to
pin
A5.
Use
the
small
contact
supplied.
Do
not
use
this
connection
point
for
direct
supply
of
the
aerial
motor!
Pilot
light:
When
the
car
headlamps
are
switched
on,
the
light
above
the
button
of
the
radio
is
illuminated
(even
when
the
radio
is
switched
off).
*
Connect
pin
A6
to
the
dashboard
illumination
wiring
of
your
car.
Use
the
small
contact
supplied.
Telephone:
If
your
car
phone
provides
a
mute
signal,
it
can
be
used
to
automatically
interrupt
the
set's
sound
output.
If
it
also
provides
a
loudspeaker
connection,
your
phone
output
can
be
amplified
through
the
car
speakers.
*
Connect
the
telephone
mute
wire
to
connector
AT.
Use
the
rial
contact
supplied.
In
certain
VW
and
Opel/Vauxhall
cars,
the
connector
A 7
is
used
as
a
Speed-Dependent
Volume
Control
°
(SDVC).Ask
your
authorized
VW
or
Cn
mey
dealer
to
modify
this
connection
if
you
want
to
use
the
telephone
mute
feature.
*
(optional)
Connect
plug
F
(yellow)
to
the
loudspeaker
output
of
your
car
phone
(fig.
9).
