Passcode
The “Lock” key is used to prevent access to the 2020PROPlus’s sensitive options.
Sensitive options are those which can affect the 2020PRO
Plus’s readings. If any of
these functions is selected when the instrument is locked, the 2020PRO
Plus will
prompt you to unlock the instrument before you can access the functions.
The unit always has a passcode in force. When shipped from the factory, the code is
0000.
To lock the 2020PRO
Plus:
1. Press the MENU soft key. Highlight UNIT SETUP and press the
SELECT soft key. Use the DOWN ARROW soft key to highlight
PASSCODE, the press the SELECT soft key.
2. Choose either UNLOCK, CHANGE or LOCK soft keys. You will be
prompted for a passcode. Using the UP, DOWN and RIGHT ARROW
soft keys, enter the passcode. Press the RIGHT ARROW soft key until
the CHECKMARK is highlighted and select the DONE soft key.
NOTE: If you change the passcode, make sure you record the setting. If you cannot
remember your passcode once the instrument is locked, there is no way to unlock it
without losing all your data log contents. Unlocking the instrument without a
password is accomplished by doing a reset or “cold start”. To do the reset, hold the
middle-upper key while turning the instrument on with the on/off key
Date Format
The date format can be expressed either as MM/DD/YYYY, or as DD/MM/YYYY.
Choose either option via the SELECT soft key.
Language
The information on the 2020PROPlus display screen can be presented in five
languages: English, French, German, Spanish, and/or Italian. On selecting
Language from the MENU, the five languages will appear as a list. Using the center
soft key, highlight the desired language and use the SELECT soft key to set the
language.
Units
The 2020PROPlus can display readings in three units of measure: PPM (parts per
million), PPB (parts per billion), or mg/M
3
(milligrams per cubic meter). On
selecting Units from the MENU, the three choices will appear as a list. Using the
center soft key, highlight the desired Units of Measure and use the SELECT soft key
to set the choice.
NOTE: To utilize the mg/M
3
unit of measure, the instrument must be configured and
operated with a compound chosen from the 2020PRO
Plus’s Preset RF library
because a molecular weight value is needed for the mg/M
3
calculation. If you wish
to use the mg/M
3
unit of measure while doing TVOC work, you should use a memory
