DURING THE FIRST 1000 KM DO NOT RIDE THE VEHICLE OVER 80% OF ITS
MAXIMUM SPEED. AVOID TWISTING THE THROTTLE GRIP FULLY OR KEEP-
ING A CONSTANT SPEED ALONG LONG SECTIONS OF ROAD. AFTER THE
FIRST 1000 KM, GRADUALLY INCREASE SPEED UNTIL REACHING THE MAX-
IMUM PERFORMANCE.

Starting up the engine (02_05, 02_06, 02_07)
The vehicle is equipped with an ignition prevention system controlled by the side
stand. The engine cannot be started if the side stand is lowered. If the engine is on, it
will turn itself off if the side stand is lowered. The scooter is equipped with automatic
transmission with direct drive, so that starting is effected by turning the throttle grip to
idle speed; to start-off from still, progressively twist the throttle grip. For starting it is
necessary to pull the front brake lever "H" or rear brake lever "N" and to hold it pulled
to actuate the starting switch before pressing starter button "G".
1. Put the scooter on the centre stand "F", making sure the rear wheel is raised from
the ground.
2. Keep the throttle grip "M" at the minimum.
3. Insert the key into the ignition switch "A" and turn to position "ON".
4. Ensure that switch "I" "RUN OFF" is in position "RUN" and that the side stand
"L" is in the raised position.
5. Hold the front brake lever "H" or rear brake lever "N" while pressing starter button
"G".
