Pump-and-roll operation is dangerous.
NEVER ride outside the cab when the vehicle is moving.
Keep personnel walking to the side of the vehicle and in sight of driver at all times.
Drive slowly.
PTO Pump Engagement (Pump and Roll)
1. Stop vehicle.
2. Shift transmission Into NEUTRAL (N).
3. Apply parking brake.
Keep pump water cool. Do not operate the pump for extended periods with the discharge valves closed or the pump may
overheat. The pump is fitted with a thermal relief valve to help prevent overheating.
Begin pumping immediately after engaging pump.
Recirculate water if hoses are not ready to keep water cool.
Running pump dry for more than a few minutes will cause pump damage.
4. Engage the pump.
Activate the PTO Pump Shift control switchlocated on the driver’s panel in the cab.
5. Check PUMP ENGAGED indicator lamp.
The PUMP ENGAGED indicator lamp turns ON when:
PTO is engaged AND
Pump is spinning.
6. Provide water supply to pump by opening the tank to pump valve.
7. Shift transmission to DRIVE (D). Transmission must be in DRIVE for Pump-and-Roll operations.
8. Release parking brake.
9. Check indicator lamps:
The OK TO PUMP indicator lamps turn ON when:
PTO is engaged AND
Transmission has been successfully shifted into DRIVE (D), AND
Parking brake is released.
