OPERATION
3-5.3 Disengaging the Pump - PTO Driven Pump (Stationary Operation)
3-5.4 Disengaging the Pump - PTO Driven Pump (Pump and Roll Operation)
Pump Disengagement (Stationary Operation)
1. Reduce engine speed to IDLE.
Adjust Hand Throttle or Pressure Governor to bring engine to IDLE.
2. Check tachometer.
Make sure engine has remained at IDLE. If the engine speed has increased, the pump panel throttle control
may not have been properly reset to IDLE.
Exit the cab and reset hand throttle or pressure governor to IDLE.
3. Close discharge valves.
Close all discharge and inlet valves SLOWLY to prevent water hammer.
4. Move the PTO pump control to the OFF position.
5. Check pump indicator lights.
If the PUMP ENGAGED light is on, the pump was not successfully shifted out of pump mode. If ON, repeat
the entire procedure.
Pump Disengagement (Pump and Roll Operation)
1. Stop apparatus.
Bring apparatus to a full stop and reduce engine speed to idle.
2. Shift transmission to NEUTRAL (N).
3. Apply parking brake.
4. Close discharge valves.
Close all discharge and inlet valves SLOWLY to prevent water hammer.
5. Move the PTO pump control to the OFF position.
6. Check pump indicator lights.
If the PUMP ENGAGED light is on, the pump was not successfully shifted out of pump mode. If ON, repeat
the procedure.
