REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONS
When
operating
the
remote
contro!
unit,
point
the
unit's
infrared
signal
transmitter
at
the
remote
sensor
window
(SENSOR)
on
the
front
panel
of
the
receiver.
The
remote
control
unit
can
be
used
within
a
range
of
about
7
meters
(23
feet)
from
the
remote
sensor,
and
within
angles
of
up
to
about
30
degrees.
Open
the
battery
compartment
cover
on
the
back
of
the
remote
control
unit.
Insert
size
"AAA”
(IEC
ROS)
dry
cell
batteries
into
the
battery
compartment
in
accordance
with
the
indications

inside
the
compartment.
Close the cover of the battery case.
Incorrect
use
of
batteries
may
cause
leakage
or
rupture,
Always
be
sure
to
follow
these
guidelines:
A.
Always
insert
batteries
into
the
battery
compartment
correctly
matching
the
positive

negative

polarities,
as
shown
by
the
display
inside
the
compartment.
B. Never mix new and used batteries.

Batteries
of
the
same
size
may
have
different
voltages,
depending
on
brand.
Do
not
mix
different
brands

is
operating
in
the
vicinity
of
other
appliances
generating
infrared
rays,
or
if
other
remote
control
devices
using
infrared
rays
are
used
near
the
unit,
the
unit
may
operate
improperly.
Conversely,
if

receiver's
remote
control
unit
is
operated
in
the
vicinity
of
another
appliance
which
uses
an
infrared
remote
control
device,
the
other
appliance
may
operate
improperly.

change
the
place
of
installation
so
that
improper
operation
does
not

operation

the
remote
control
unit
becomes
too short, replace the batteries.

the
unit
is
not
to
be
used
for
a
long
period

time
(more

one
month),
remove
the
batteries
to
prevent
them
from
leaking
inside

compartment.
If
leakage
occurs,
wipe
up
the
liquid
inside
the
compartment
and
replace
the
batteries
with
new
ones.

place
books
or
other
objects
on
the
remote
controf
unit,
since
they
might
depress
the
keys
and
run
down
the
batteries.

in

strong
light

as
sunlight
