Why does my Pit Boss smoker take so long to heat up?

  If the Pit Boss smoker takes too long to reach the desired temperature, it could be due to several reasons: * The outside temperature might be too cold (below 65°C / 18°F). * Using an extension cord can reduce power; plug directly into the power source or use a short, heavy-duty cord (max 7.6 meters / 25 feet, minimum gauge 12/3). * Too much food in the cabinet restricts airflow; leave space between items. * The door might not be closed properly, or the seal is damaged. * The water pan might not be correctly placed on its support brackets. In rare cases, it could be a faulty control board that needs replacement.
