Make sure the safety switch is in the "ON" position. Also, the thermostat may have been satisfied, so increase the desired room temperature on the control panel or remote. Finally, if the sliding door is dirty or clogged, unplug the unit, clear the door area of dust and debris, wait five minutes, plug the unit in again, and turn on the heater.

      If your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace is making excessive noise when the flame is on but the heater is off, the rotating flame reflector shaft might be rubbing against the housing. Turn off the unit, open the back of the firebox, and try repositioning the flame reflector shaft.
