Why is there a gas odor when my Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace is off?
    • K
      Kenneth MartinAug 20, 2025
If you notice a gas odor even when the control knob is in the OFF position on your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to a gas leak or a defective control valve. You should locate and correct any gas leaks, or contact customer service if the control valve is defective.

What to do if my Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace shuts off while running?
    • J
      Janice HintonAug 22, 2025
If your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace heater shuts off during use, it may be because not enough fresh air is available, the line pressure is low, or the ODS/pilot is partially clogged. Try opening a window or door for ventilation. If that doesn't work, contact your local gas supplier to check the line pressure or clean the ODS/pilot.

      Cathy GravesAug 25, 2025

How to fix a Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace when there's no spark?
    • T
      Tiffany PorterAug 26, 2025
If the ignitor button is pressed, but there is no spark at the ODS/pilot on your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to several reasons: the ignitor electrode is positioned wrong or broken, the ignitor electrode is not connected to the ignitor cable, the ignitor cable is pinched or wet, the ignitor cable is damaged or the piezo ignitor is bad. You may need to replace the electrode, ignitor cable, or piezo ignitor. Also, ensure the ignitor cable is free from being pinched and kept dry.

Why does the flame go out when I release the control knob on my Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace?
    • C
      Carol Gray MDAug 27, 2025
If the ODS/pilot lights, but the flame goes out when you release the control knob on your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace, make sure the control knob is fully pressed in and held for at least 30 seconds after the ODS/pilot lights. Also, ensure the equipment shutoff valve is fully open and the thermocouple connection is snug (hand tighten, then ¼ turn more). If the problem persists, the thermocouple may be damaged and need replacement or the control valve may be damaged, so contact customer service.

    David JohnsonAug 29, 2025
What to do if my Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace sparks but doesn't ignite?
    • P
      Patricia WalkerAug 29, 2025
If, when you press the ignitor button on your Pleasant Hearth Indoor Fireplace, there is a spark at the ODS/pilot but no ignition, ensure the gas supply is turned on and the equipment shutoff valve is open. Fully press in the control knob while pressing the ignitor button. If there's air in the gas lines from a recent installation, continue holding down the control knob and repeat the igniting operation until the air is removed. Also, check that the control knob is in the PILOT position. If using propane, ensure the gas supply isn't depleted. If the ODS/pilot is clogged, clean it or replace the ODS/pilot assembly.

    • D
      Derek PattersonSep 2, 2025
