MAINTENANCE
Chaincase Oil (if equipped)
Oil Change (Pump Method)
NOTE: This procedure requires the use of a commercially available hand
pump oil extractor.
1. Elevate the front of the snowmobile using a floor jack or appropriate
lift.
2. Remove the fill plug. Clean all
metal shavings off the plug.
3. Insert the tube of a hand pump
oil extractor into the fill hole.
Direct the hose toward the
bottom front area of the cover,
away from the chain/sprocket.
4. Extract the oil from the
chaincase.
5. Lower the snowmobile.
6. Using a funnel, slowly add the recommended oil until the fluid
begins to overflow. Maximum fluid capacity is 10.5 oz. (310 ml).
7. Clean the area with a clean, dry shop towel.
8. Reinstall the fill plug.
Torque: 4-4.9 ft-lbs (5.4-6.6 Nm)
