38 .Tighten all cover bolts lightly (Carb. models).
39 . Remove water outlet manifold (Carb. models).
40.Torque cover bolts evenly in three steps to
specification (Carb. models).

Cylinder Head Cover - Carb. models
41 .Install water outlet manifold with new gaskets and
torque bolts evenly in a criss-cross pattern to
specification.
NOTE: If flush plug was removed, apply Loctite™ pipe
sealant to threads and torque to 18 ft. lbs. (24.9 Nm).
Water Outlet Manifold Bolt Torque -
108 in. lbs. (12.4Nm)
