Lubrication Recommendations
Transmission Oil Chang e - 2x4 Mo d els
7. Tighten the jam nut securely while holding the adjuster bolt.
8. Add the proper lubricant through the dipstick hole until the oil
level is between the upper and lower limits. Do not overfill.
9. Check for leaks.
Transmission Oil Chang e - Sportsman
1. Remove the fill plug/dipstick.
2. Remove the transmission drain plug and
drain the oil. Catch and discard used oil
properly.
3. Clean and reinstall the drain plug.
4. Add 32 oz. (948 ml) of Polaris Premium
Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant to the full
mark on the fill plug/dipstick. Maintain
the oil level i n t he safe operation range
(1). NOTE: See page 141 for the part
numbers of Polaris-recommended
products.
5. Reinstall the fill plug/dipstick and check
for leaks.
