  Engine backfires in your Polaris Utility Vehicle can be caused by: * Weak spark from the spark plug. * Incorrect spark plug gap or heat range. * Old or non-recommended fuel. * Water present in fuel. * Loose ignition connections. To resolve this, inspect, clean, and/or replace the spark plug, set the gap to specs or replace the plug, replace with fresh recommended fuel, check all connections and tighten.
