What to do if my Polygroup CP2000-S Water Filtration Systems pump motor fails to start?
    • L
      Louis CohenAug 13, 2025
First, ensure the GFCI Set is plugged into a grounded power outlet, then press the RESET button. If the pump still doesn't start, check that the line voltage is between 105VAC and 125VAC. Also, reset the GFCI. If the problem continues, have the circuit checked by a qualified electrician. Finally, if the motor is too hot, let it cool down before restarting the pump.

Why is the water flow very slow in my Polygroup CP2000-S Water Filtration Systems sand filter?
    • H
      Hannah EllisonAug 17, 2025
If your Polygroup sand filter isn't pumping water or the flow is very slow, start by cleaning the suction fitting and the hose connecting it to the pump inlet. Then, check the hose for damage and tighten the hose clamps. Ensure the pool water level is adequate. Also, backwash the sand more frequently. If the sand surface is crusted or caked, replace about 1 inch of the sand; if the issue persists, replace all the sand. Finally, remove any pool vacuuming devices attached to the pump.

    • R
      Rebecca JonesAug 20, 2025
If your Polygroup sand filter isn’t cleaning the pool, adjust the chlorine and pH levels. Ensure there is sand in the sand tank. Set the valve handle to the “FILTER” position. Run the pump longer if the pool is too dirty and clean the strainer of the suction fitting.

Why does sand end up in the pool with my Polygroup CP2000-S?
    • B
      Brittany MorrisAug 28, 2025
If sand ended up in your pool when using the Polygroup water filtration system, use only #20 grade silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45-0.85 mm (0.018-0.033 inches) and a uniformity coefficient less than 1.75. If the sand bed is calcified, discard all the used sand and replace it with new sand.
