Why won't my Pope Trimmer engine start?
    • D
      Dr. Anthony RossOct 30, 2025

Pull the starter cord to look for a spark. Replace the spark plug if there's no spark. * Push the primer bulb until it's full of fuel. If it doesn't fill, there may be a blockage in the fuel delivery system. * If the engine is flooded, remove the spark plug and turn the trimmer so the spark plug hole faces the ground. Set the choke lever to B and pull the starter cord 10-14 times. Clean and reinstall the spark plug. Then, with the trigger fully depressed, pull the starter cord three times. If it still doesn't start, set the choke lever to full and try normal starting...
