switch to
the
STOP
position.
To start the engine
hold the saw
firmly on
the
ground
as
illustrated. Make
sure the chatn

POINTS
TO REMEMBER
When
pulling
the starter
rope, do
not use the
full extent of
the rope as
this can cause
the
rope to break.
Do not
let
starter
rope snap
back
Hold the handle and
let the
rope re
wrnd
slowly.
For cold weather
starting, start
the untl at
FULL CHOKE: allow
the englne
to warm up
before
squeezing

lrigger.
NOTE:
Oo not attempt
to cut
material with
the choke/fast
idle lever in the
FU LL
CHOKE
posrtron.

STARTING
A
COLD
ENGINE

NOTE: In the
following steps.

idle lever
is
pulled
out to
the full
extent, the correct

the FULL CHOKE

4. Pull the starter
rope sharply 5
times

right hand. Then,
proceed to the

step.
NOTE: lf the engine
sounds as
if it is trying
to start
before the 5th
pull.

flooded with too

fuel if it has

started

pulls.
Flooded
engines can
be cleared of excess
