As lhe unit
is used. carbon
deposits
build
up
on
the muffler
and spark
arresling
screen,
and
must be
removed
to avoid crealing
a fire
haza(d
or affecting
engine
performance.
Replace
the spark
arresting
screen
if
breaks
occur.

socket
wrench. Spark
plug gap
should
be 0.025
inch
(0,6
mm).
Reinstall
the spark
plug
boot.
Reinstall
the cylinder
cover
and
3
screws.
Tighten securely.
REPLACE
FUEL FILTER
To
replace
fuel filter, drain
your
unlt
by
run-
nrnq it dry ot
lLrel. Femove
fuel
cap and
lts
connected
relatner
lrom tanh.
Pull
f ilter
from
tank and
remove
from line.
Replace
and
re-
assemDle.

will not
produce

good
chip

chain

if necessary.

top edges
of
the cutter
and
depth
gauge.

CLEANING
THE

Cleaning
is required
every
25 hours
of op-
eration or
annually.
whichever
comes
first.
1. Loosen
and
remove
the nut
from the ex
haust outlet
cover.
2. Remove
the exhaust
oulet
cover.
3.
Remove
spark
arresting
screen.
Handle
screen
carefully
to
prevent damage.
4. Clean
the spark
arresting
screen
gently
with a
wire brush.
Replace screen
ij
breaks
are found.
5.
Replace any
broken or
cracked
muffler
parts.
6.
Reinstall
spark arresting
screen.

nut.
Tlghten
nut securely.
