Why does my Power Acoustik PD-930 not turn on?

      Jason BrownAug 1, 2025
If your Power Acoustik Car Video System does not turn on and no sound is produced, the fuse may be blown. Replace it with a fuse of the same amperage. If the fuse blows again, consult your store of purchase. Alternatively, the wiring may be incorrect, in which case you should consult your local retailer.

      Brian HessAug 7, 2025
If your Power Acoustik Car Video System displays inaccurate information or the buttons don't respond, it could be due to a microprocessor malfunction caused by noise. To resolve this, turn off the power, then press the [no open] button and remove the DCP. Next, press the reset button for about 2 seconds using a thin rod. Another possible cause is dirty panel or main unit connectors. Clean them using a soft cloth moistened with cleaning alcohol.

If you experience bad sound quality immediately after turning on your Power Acoustik Car Video System, the compact disc may be dirty. Clean the compact disc without causing scratches. Alternatively, the compact disc might be heavily scratched or warped. In this case, replace it with a compact disc that is free of scratches.

How to fix no sound with amplifiers on Power Acoustik PD-930?
    • B
      brianrojasAug 19, 2025
If you're getting no sound output from your Power Acoustik Car Video System when using amplifiers or a power antenna, it's possible the power antenna lead is shorted to ground, requiring excessive current, or there's an issue with the remote on the amplifiers or power antenna. Here's how to troubleshoot: 1. Turn off the unit. 2. Remove all wires attached to the power antenna lead and check each wire for shorts to ground using an ohm meter. 3. Turn on the unit. 4. Reconnect each amplifier remote wire to the power antenna lead one by one. If the amplifiers turn off before all wires are attached, use an external replay to provide remote-on voltage (excessive current required).

If the sound quality is poor immediately after powering on your Power Acoustik Car Video System, it might be due to water droplets forming on the internal lens when the car is parked in a humid environment. To resolve this, let the unit dry for approximately 1 hour with the power on.
