  If the Power smart Snow Blower engine fails to start, even when it's cranking over, there are several potential causes. First, ensure the engine ignition switch is in the ON position. Check that the spark plug wire is securely connected. A faulty spark plug may also be the culprit, requiring cleaning, gap adjustment, or replacement. If the engine is flooded with fuel, discontinue using the choke or primer and clean or replace the spark plug. Make sure the safety key is fully inserted into the ignition. The choke should be in the START position initially, then slowly moved to RUN as the engine stabilizes. If these steps don't work, prime the engine. Make sure the auger belt isn't loose, slipping, worn, or damaged; replace it or adjust the auger control cable tension if needed. Check the auger belt tension cable for any issues and repair or replace it as necessary. Inspect the auger blades for damage and replace them if bent.
