1.3.5 Flue System
Only approved flue systems may be used with these units
and must be installed to current standards and rules in
force.
The heater position must permit the provision of a
satisfactory run of flue system and an adequate air
supply. Maximum flue lengths may apply.
The flue must be adequately supported and terminated
with a suitable cowl. The flue must terminate in a freely
exposed position and be sited to prevent the products
of combustion entering any opening in a building in such
concentration as to be prejudicial to health or a nuisance.
IMPORTANT: All flues must be installed in
accordance with IGE/UP/10 Edition 4,
BS5440-1 and BS5440-2 and with reference
to the requirements of the Clean Air Act.
Several configurations of flue and combustion air ducts
are available.
