Overview

The PRANA recuperator is a bidirectional ventilation unit designed to create and maintain a healthy microclimate in various premises. It operates on the principle of countercurrent heat exchange with a continuous thermal cycle, utilizing a copper heat exchanger. This design allows for two distinct airflows within a single cylinder, ensuring no mixing of incoming fresh air and outgoing exhaust air.

Function Description

The core function of the PRANA recuperator is to recover heat from the exhaust air and transfer it to the incoming fresh air from outside. This process significantly increases the overall recuperation rate and helps maintain optimal humidity levels within the room. The high velocity of the airflow, combined with efficient heat transfer, also facilitates the removal of up to 90% of moisture in a dispersed state, preventing condensation and freezing of the heat exchanger even at low ambient temperatures.

The system is a monoblock, ready for use according to design and assembly tasks. It is suitable for both residential and public facilities, including apartments, houses, office premises, educational establishments, and kindergartens.

Usage Features

The PRANA recuperator offers several operational modes and features for enhanced comfort and efficiency:

  • Standard Operation: The unit continuously exchanges air, recovering heat from the exhaust air.
  • "Mini heating up" function: This feature increases the temperature of the inflow air by 3-5 °C, providing additional comfort. It can be activated via remote control or a mobile application. When the motors are off and the recuperator cover is open, this function also acts as an air heat curtain. WARNING: Do not switch on "Mini heating up" if the outside air temperature is +20 °C and above.
  • "Winter Mode" function: This mode is designed to prevent the icing of condensate drainage during cold seasons or to thaw it if icing has occurred. WARNING: Use of Winter Mode is mandatory to avoid icing and ensure correct operation at minus temperatures. In "AUTO" mode, "Winter Mode" will operate for 30 minutes after engine shutdown to prevent icing.
  • Preheating element (additional option): For rooms with excessive humidity in cold climates, an additional heating element can be equipped.
  • Passive mode: This mode operates with the recuperator lid open and motors switched off, allowing uncontrolled airflows due to pressure and temperature differences. It is recommended only when the temperature difference between inside and outside is no more than 5 °C.
  • Defrosting: In case of freezing, activate the "mini-heating up" function with the engine switched off for at least 60 minutes to unfreeze the unit, then turn on the recuperator to the desired mode.

The system is controlled via a remote control or a mobile application, allowing users to turn on, regulate, and turn off the fans. The PRANA 150 / 200G / 200C recuperators automatically adapt to the connected voltage, reducing noise and ensuring declared noise characteristics.
