10. Replace and tighten the three generator mounting screws removed in step 9. Set the bearing clamp in its
mounting position, replace and tighten the two bearing clamp mounting screws removed in step 9.
11. Hand start, but do not tighten the four mounting nuts removed in step 6. The generator must be able to
move in order to adjust the belt tension.
12. Adjust the generator drive belt tension per Procedure 8.2.
13. Reconnect the red battery lead removed in step 1 and replace the rear cover.
14. Check the operation of the EFX as described in Section Seven.
