3. Product discription
The McRain plus is the central pressurisation unit for your rainwater harvesting system.
The unit is monitoring and controlling the rainwater harvesting system. The operation of the
rainwater harvesting system is also ensured with an empty storage tank, because the potable
water is automatically fed to the application via the unit.
Please consider that while running with mains water the pumping capacity is less than running
with water from the collecting tank. Because of the smaller flow rate of the floating valve, it will be
up to 50 l/min instead of max. 83 l/min. Therefore under these circumstances if, for example
several taps are running at the same time the pressure will be reduced. But there is the possibility
of an additional installation of a makeup valve which reaches an min output of 83l/min.
4. Operation of control element (see figure 1 below)
Switch to “Manual“
• Switch the Wipp switch (1) to “Man.”
- LED yellow “man” and LED yellow “Mains” light up
- LED green “Auto” goes off
- No more water will be taken from the collection tank
- The rain harvesting system is fed solely from the mains
Switch to “Automatic“
• Switch the Wipp switch (1) to ”Auto”
- LED green “Auto” lights up
- LED yellow “Man” and LED yellow “Mains” goes off
- Water is taken from the collection tank
- Depending on level, mains is switched over automatically
- As soon as the pump uses mains water, the yellow LED will shows “Mains”
