OPERATION ON GAS
Connect the cooler to the cylinder, all connections are to be tightened with a spanner. Once connected turn the gas valve on
and check all connections for leaks using soapy water – Never check for leaks with an open flame. Check that the unit is
disconnected from all 12V DC & 240V AC power sources and that it is located on a solid flat surface
• Open the valve on gas cylinder
• Depress the Gas control knob and hold in for 15 seconds – (FIG 1)
• With the control knob still depressed, turn anti clock wise until you hear the click of the piezo
ignition – (FIG 2)
• Continue to depress the gas control knob and check if the burner is alight by checking that the
needle on the pilot light gauge is in the green section. – (FIG 3)
• If the burner is not alight return the gas control valve to the off position and re-light.
• Once the burner is alight, hold the control valve in for a further 20 seconds then release.
• Turn the thermostat knob to the MAX position. The effects of the cooling process (frost on the
evaporator) may become visible after about an hour – (FIG 2)
• The thermostat enables the temperature of the cooler to be adjustable
• After a sufficient cooling period (approximately 5 hours) the thermostat can be set to an
intermediate position. The selected temperature is regulated automatically by the thermostat.
IMPORTANT
When unit is to be operated for the first time or has not been connected to a gas supply for a period
of time the gas control valve should be held in for 30 to 60 seconds prior to turning anti clockwise to
engage the piezo ignition. This is to allow a sufficient amount of gas to fill the regulator, gas hose so
as the pilot light can be ignited.
DISCONNECTING FROM LP GAS
• With the cooler still operating, turn the valve on the cylinder to the “OFF” position. This will allow
the cooler to consume the LP gas remaining in the hose and regulator.
• Check that the burner has been extinguished then return the gas control valve to
the “OFF” position.
CONNECTION TO GENERATORS
DC SUPPLY
DO NOT connect the fridge directly to the DC output connection of the generator. The DC output connector of the generator
must be connected to a suitable 12V DC battery that the fridge is drawing power from.
AC SUPPLY
It is recommended that the fridge not be connected directly to any generator that has an unregulated or unstable power
output. To reduce the risk of damage to the fridge from insufficient or over supply of AC power it is recommended that the
fridge only be connected directly to a regulated output from a Digital Inverter style of generator.
STORING FOOD
Liquids to be stored in the refrigerator should always be placed in a closed vessel. The air circulation inside the appliance
must not be obstructed. Never place hot food or drink in the appliance.
DEFROSTING
The refrigerator must be defrosted regularly, in order to ensure that it operates correctly.
To defrost the refrigerator, disconnect it and remove all food outside. If necessary, use a cloth soaked with hot water. After
de-icing, mop up the water with a dry clean cloth and clean the inside with warm water, Do not use abrasive cleaners.
