SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WORK AREA
1. Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite
accidents.
2. Take readings in a safe work environment. Do not use in damp or wet
locations. Do not expose to rain. Do not use in the presence of flammable gases
or liquids.
3. Keep children, bystanders and visitors away from the work area.
Distraction can cause you to lose control.
4. Store unused equipment. When not in use, store this tool in a dry location
to prevent rust. Always lock up tools and keep them out of reach of children.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Never apply voltage to the meter that exceeds the specified
maximum of 690V.
2. Keep your hands and fingers behind the barriers during
measurements.
3. Never unlock and open the battery case during measurements.
4. Verify proper operation on a known source before taking action
as a result of the indication.
5. Never make any measurement in any abnormal conditions, such
as a broken case or exposed metal parts are present on the
instrument to test probes.
6. Do not modify the instrument.
7. Use extreme caution when the Live Circuit LED flashes or lights on.
8. The correct indication of LEDs is only guaranteed within a
temperature range of -10°C up to 55°C (<85% RH).
